Lovely traditional pub with a nice selection of beers and wines. The food is excellent and plentiful, all starters and Sunday lunches were very tasty, my Grandfather in law doesn't complement easily, his mushroom soup was "delicious". Service was fast and friendly. Will certainly visit again.
What you would expect from a village Inn, quaint rooms, lovely food and the local clientele embrace your presence, very friendly people, if we are in the area again would not look anywhere else to stay, thank you for your hospitality, glad your team won 😂

A quaint and quirky hotel. Decent sized room and very clean. The bathroom was modern with nice big towels. Bedroom was a little dated but the bed was comfy. Very tasty breakfast, all freshly cooked and the bar was open late into the night. We didn't really get much of a welcome when we arrived which was a bit of a shame as the staff after that we're all friendly and helpful. Very quiet surroundings and well kept grounds. Great location for visiting Bury St Edmunds, only about a 15min drive into the centre.
I stayed overnight for work and it was perfect. Excellent service throughout my stay, a lovely clean and airy room and a great breakfast to send me on my way for work. I will stay again.

This is very much the classic county pub turned food focused pub. It's in a nice location with quite a nice outside area and the food was pretty good. Not massively expensive but not cheap. We went as a family and had a good meal. Pleasant but far from outstanding.
Always look forward to a meal at The Bunbury Arms. So much choice, especially as I love my Vegetables. Staff always very helpful. It is best to book so as not to be disappointed

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

If you're looking for something just a bit different, why not try this peaceful campsite located in an equestrian centre in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. The pitches have lovely views of a jumping paddock and fields of grazing horses. And if you fancy having a go at horse riding, you can book a riding lesson or a hack. Bardwell village has two good pubs, and there are shops in nearby Ixworth. The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds is only a short 15-minute drive away.
My daughters and I had a 1 hour private lesson. I was really pleased that the area was really clean, especially the room to put on your boots, etc (which were all supplied) and all the staff were friendly so friendly. We had an amazing time and wish we didn't live 4 hours away! Would love to go again if we are back in the area. Thank you ladies
